The City of Addersfield

Addersfield-min.png

Inspired by the work of film graphic designer Annie Atkins, I exclusively utilized the medium of graphic design to tell a story. The City of Addersfield is an interactive narrative experience. Through the specific curation of physical and printed ephemera, Addersfield tells the layered story of a small town fire being investigated for an insurance claim. Addersfield asks the audience to engage with and explore the tactile evidence to gain perspective and understanding of goings-on within the quaint, lumber-ridden community.

What do time cards, telegrams, and tree oils have to do with an arson case?

The City of Addersfield is a project completed for the Graphic Design Senior Thesis class at Lawrence Technological University. The corresponding book and analysis can be viewed here.
